Possible Weather Cancellation

The group has been going strong, in fact we've been quite packed! However, I must warn that the session may be cancelled tomorrow due to the weather. We only cancel if the Shawnee Mission School District closes. So, check www.smsd.org for updates before you head out in the morning!

Sessions have been going strong with good attendance for the second half of summer. This Wed our model is the lovely Aimee, better known as local burlesque performer Violet Vendetta. She will be doing classical rather than burlesque poses for us, though. See you there!

New Model this week + a second session!

This week at Buena Vista we will have a new model - she has experience from some years ago but will probably be new to everyone at the group. I am excited to draw her!

I also wanted to mention that Trey and I are now running a second Figure Drawing group at another location on Sunday Nights through summer. For more information about that, visit http://tadkcmo.blogspot.com.

This Wednesday we will have a great new model, she is curvy and should be fun to draw!

Coming up...

There will be some new models (we are always adding as much variety as possible!) and a special opportunity: in August we have scheduled a lovely model that is expecting. An unusual subject to draw, I am looking forward to the extra narrative quality and interesting shapes! More to come about that..

Double Models this Wed!

This Wed at Buena Vista Studios we've got a special event planned: two models at once! We'll be drawing a male and female model with light and dark complexion, posing together. This should make for some really interesting shapes and a great challenge! This is double the expense, but does not cost anything extra to attend. I hope that you will all come!

Special event coming up!

This Wed we have a new model, a very muscular african american man! I've missed some of the regulars lately, hope to see you there.

Coming up April 21st we have a great session planned: a double model morning! Kent will be posing with a lady model who is new to BV, Leslie! They will do poses together, so plan to come and plan for a challenge.
